Have a question about reglazing? Take a look at our list of frequently asked questions.
How much will I save with bathtub refinishing as opposed to replacement?

A replacement can cost you anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000, depending on costs associated with removal of the tub, replacing any drywall surface and possible plumbing and tile replacement. In addition, when you remodel, you will need to go days without the use of the bathroom during replacement. Bathtub liners cost upwards of $3,000.  Refinishing an average tub to look like new will cost far less than a lines or a replacement. This is huge savings for anyone updating their bathroom.
How long does the bathtub refinishing process take?

Our refinishing process typically only takes 4- 5 hours to complete, depending on the amount of chips or racks that need to be repaired prior to refinishing and the size of the job. Your bathtub will usually be ready to use within 24 hours after being reglazed. Replacing a bathtub can take days or even weeks until you can use your bathroom again.

Do you offer a warranty or guarantee?

Epic Tub & Tile Refinishing, Inc. offers an industry leading 5 year warranty for residential work.
How long will my reglazed bathtub last?

The durability of a refinished bathtub (or other surface) is very similar to that of a brand new bathtub. If you take proper care of the tub, tile, or other refinished surface and avoid using abrasive chemicals for cleaning, it should last 10-15 years. How do I care for and clean my refinished bathtub or tile?

Refinished bathtubs are often easier to clean than the original product. Make sure you use mild, non- abrasive cleaning products. Just as with a new bathtub, the finish or shine can be dulled by abrasive cleaners.  We recommend our customers to only use Dawn dish liquid soap or 409 Cleaner.

Will the reglazed surface look brand new?

Yes, reglazing a bathtub, tile or countertop will make the surface look brand new. We can even fix cracks or chips in the surface, restore the original luster, and change any outdated colors in your bathroom or kitchen.

Will my refinished bathtub look like it has been painted?

This is a common myth in the bathtub refinishing industry. Your bathtub will not look like it was painted, since the material we use is more like a coating than a paint. It is actually very difficult for an untrained eye to tell the difference between a brand new bathtub and one that has been reglazed by Epic Tub & Tile Refinishing, Inc.

Do you repair cracks, chips, and scratches in my bathtub or shower?

Yes, we will fill in any chips or other imperfections in your bathtub or other surface prior to the refinishing process, making your damaged porcelain, acrylic, or fiberglass surface as good as new.

Can I use a bathmat if the refinished surface is too slippery?

No, bathmats are not recommended as they tend to damage the refinished surface if left on for an extended period of time.  We can apply an anti-slip surface to your tub that will become a permanent part of the bathtub.

Can you refinish a tub that has been already refinished?

Yes, a tub that has been refinished before can be refinished again. We will strip and clean the tub before we refinish it so the old coatings are removed.
